The Community Canteen was a take out restaurant serving free (or pay as you can) meals to anyone and everyone. We recently closed the Wherewithall, Iyanze Bronze, and Kimski Community Canteen, though Kimski continues to serve meals every Wednesday.

The purpose of the Community Canteen was to create a place for members of the community to enjoy a healthy and locally sourced meal regardless of their ability to pay. By expanding our locations and hours of operation, we gave people more flexibility in obtaining a meal during these colder months.

We are still seeking grants, funding and donations from individuals and the philanthropic community to help us continue the Community Canteen program. If your business would like to donate materials or products or your foundation / organization is interested in helping us expand this program with the creation and distribution of additional meals, please contact Emily Green at emily.communitykitchen@gmail.com
